Amsterdam became the Dutch capital in 1806,
and - following a brief decline - was booming again by the end of the century.

The airport is located 15km (nine miles) southwest of Amsterdam

of Maastricht", is a remarkable European city. Because of it's appealing
location on the intersection of roads, cultures and languages the city is international
oriented. Maastricht, capital of the province of Limburg, is both a governmental
and an economical centre. Since the past residence of Romans, Francs, the Spain,
the French and the Dutch, Maastricht became a city of culture. In the Netherlands
only Amsterdam has more official monuments.
Rotterdam

of Rotterdam city centre and 25km (16 miles) southeast of The Hague.
