By Car :

Traveling by car on the M8 Motorway via Junction 28 gives easy access
to and from the airport which is about 20 minutes drive from Glasgow
City Centre and about two minutes from Paisley, the nearest town.
Cars drop off passengers outside the terminal building, and passengers
can even hire car services by calling the Car Hire information center.
By Cycle :
The Airport is the first airport in Scotland to be linked to the
National Cycle Network. The route travels from the airport through
Paisley to link with National Route 7 (Inverness to Carlisle) and
National Route 75 (Leith to Gourock) which cross in Paisley.
Passengers can hire covered, lockable cycle lockers at the airport
and several locations in Paisley. Cycling around the city can be
really exciting.
By Train :
The airport is reachable by train services too. Paisley's Gilmour
Street railway station is the nearest to the airport. There are
direct rail services from Paisley Gilmour Street to Glasgow Central,
Ayr, and Clyde Coast destinations. There are eight trains per hour
(Monday-Saturday) and five per hour (Sunday) from Gilmour Street
to Glasgow Central. To travel from Central station to either of
the station (Queen Street station or Buchanan bus station) bus service
are available every 10 minutes between 0700 and 2200 Monday to Saturday
and 1000 and 2200 Sunday. These services are free on production
of a valid rail ticket, or barely cost some amount to other users.
Rail tickets from Glasgow Airport to Glasgow Central station, can
be purchased from the SPT Travel Centre on the ground floor of the
terminal building, adjacent to UK arrivals. For travel to any other
station, the ticket should be submitted at the Gilmour Street booking
office to obtain a discount equal to the value of the bus ticket
from the cost of a rail ticket to any station in Scotland.
By Bus :
All buses depart from the front of the terminal building. There
is a frequent service (no.905) to Glasgow city centre with drop
off points at various locations in the city including close to Glasgow
Central and Queen Street railway stations and at Buchanan bus station.
During peak times there are eight services per hour with services
from the airport operating between 0630 and 2400 Monday to Friday
and Sunday and between 0600 and 2400 on Saturday. There are frequent
connecting service to Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland from Buchanan
bus station.
Regular bus services also operate from the airport to Paisley and
Paisley Gilmour Street station for rail connections to Ayr and the
Clyde Coast and to Glasgow Central station.
By Taxi :
Airport taxis are available 24 hours a day to any destination and
any distance. Taxi drivers are obliged to meter the entire journey
and publish their scale of charges. Longer distance journey prices
may be negotiated with the driver.
The taxi rank is located at the front of the terminal building,
a short walk from UK arrivals. Assistance from the taxi management
company and a list of charges is available at the taxi booking office
next to the taxi rank.
With the exception of pre-booked hires, all taxis must hold a Glasgow
Airport permit.
