The airport is located at the centre of Switzerland's road
network with excellent connections to cities, including Zurich,
Bern, Basel and St Gallen on the A20 and around 12km (8 miles)
north of Zurich. Most domestic flights go to the Zurich Airport.
The Swiss Federal Railways Station is located under Terminal
B, with trains to central Zurich and many city and tourist destinations
across Switzerland. While the bus terminal is located next to
car park 2; several regular bus lines serve regional towns and
villages. An excellent night bus network connects the airport
to destinations all over Switzerland.
AIRPORT FACILITIES
Money and communications:
The airport has bureaux de change, ATMs, a post office, and
telephones equipped with fax and e-mail facilities.
Eating and drinking
There are many Restaurants, cafes, snack bars and take-away
facilities available at the airport terminal.
Shopping
There are Shops, including duty-free, are also available.
There is an Airport Shopping Centre, one level above check-in
area.
Luggage
There is a lost property office, which deals with Swiss enquiries.
A porter service is available. Trolleys are available free
of charge. There is a left-luggage desk in Terminal 1 Arrivals;
lockers are available too.
Other facilities
The airport has a medical and dental centre, pharmacies, prayer
rooms and nurseries.
DISABLED FACILITIES
Disabled parking spaces are available in car park 2. There
are special assistance desks in the Departures halls for travelers
with special needs; passengers using this service should report
no later than 90 minutes before departures. Passengers requiring
wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline
prior to travel. Porters can be hired to assist disabled travelers
between the airport and the railway station.

Hotels close to the airport include the Hilton Zurich Airport
(tel: (0)1 828 5050) and Novotel Zurich Airport Messe (tel:
(0)1 829 9000). Other nearby hotels include the Movenpick
Hotel Zurich-Airport, Best Western Hotel Airport, Coronado
Hotel, Movenpick Hotel Zurich-Regensdorf and the Walhalla
Hotel. Many Zurich and nearby hotels offer a shuttle service.
